General information about the Anthroposophical Society's work in Sydney
The Sydney Branch (St John's Group) at Rudolf Steiner House is host to many activities that draw their inspiration and direction from Rudolf Steiner’s Spiritual Science or Anthroposophy. In the City it provides a focus for the Society’s activities in Sydney, accessible to members and the public for lectures, group work, festival celebrations, workshops, seminars, courses, library and the Rudolf Steiner Book Centre. Occasional exhibitions of individuals’ artistic, scientific and creative work are held in the house. Individual members take initiatives in forming study Groups of various kinds, organizing and running seminars and workdays, offering artistic and practical workshops and evening courses in many areas of work and discipline, among them singing, speech, geometry, eurythmy, modern meditation, painting and study/research into Spiritual Science or Anthroposophy.
Rudolf Steiner House is also home to a full time year of Anthroposophical Studies and other courses conducted by Parsifal College (02 9261 4001).

April 30th Mary Masselos
Individuation, Archetypes and Musical Tones. In the quest for individuation we encounter the transcendence of many planes of consciousness. This experience can be enhanced by the sweetness and power of music played with an understanding of Cosmic Sound and the connection with the human soul. The purity of the individual tones can enter directly into the psyche and evoke archetypal images which then become the bridge to higher awareness, resulting in a great sense of grandeur and freedom. Music specially composed to mirror these states creates healing unifying harmonies and the aesthetic experience, according to Steiner, creates bonds with the angelic realms. Mary will demonstrate on the violin with audience participation, the illumination available through her 7 - Tone Method and the joy of fulfillment.
May 7th Brigitta Gallaher
An Artists way, thoughts to a sketch a day. Brigitta Gallaher, by profession a bookbinder arrived in Australia in 1987 and established her bookbinding studio in Sydney. Her daily practice in the fields of the arts is due to a well-practiced professional routine. Most of Brigitta's projects seem to flow as a series. (Please see overleaf). The current series, a sketch a day, started in November 2012. At first it was a series of daily visual thoughts. Each is on black paper in large A0 format and is posted into a virtual gallery on Fb. For the sketches to reach a new and ‘live' audience, she would like to show and elaborate on some of the sketches. She is keen to hear the from Tuesday's audience their questions and responses to the images presented.
